
TRACK 3 ~ CAPSTONE
PROGRAM
Capstone leaders put what they’ve learned into action by serving as
leadership mentors and student facilitators. This track is designed
for students who have completed 2 of our Leadership Development
Certificate Programs, want to further their leadership development,
and serve as student mentors. Capstone Leaders apply what
they have learned and put it into practice, co-facilitate and
create leadership workshops, and participate in a weekend service
plunge.

Come share your experiences, express the importance of
getting involved in L.E.A.D., and speak about how L.E.A.D. has
helped in your development as a Student Leader on campus!! To sign

Peace Building Leadership
Workshop
This workshop is designed to explore leaders in history and
contemporary leaders who are known for their works on peace, social
issues and conflict resolution.
Let’s Talk Money
Teaches students how to navigate in the current economy, the basics
of money management and why it is so important to have a spending
plan. In addition, students can learn about debit cards, credit,
student loans and how to protect themselves from identity
theft.
Co-Facilitation of a L.E.A.D. and/or Women
In Leadership workshop
Using your presentation skills, co-facilitate a minimum of 2
L.E.A.D and/or WIL workshops throughout the year (preferably 1 each
semester). Evaluation Summaries of your workshop will be

Community Service Plunge – Romero Center (fall
semester)
Join Leadership Development on a Service Immersion Experience that
will focus on social and poverty issues as well as Servant
Leadership. Registration Forms will be sent out in
October.
Create a Leadership Presentation (spring semester)
You have participated in various Leadership workshops and learned
how to do a successful presentation. Now is your chance to
get creative and create your own leadership workshop. Once
complete, you will present it to the Leadership Development
Staff. (It is possible that your presentation will be used
during future leadership training sessions). Topics must be
submitted for approval in January 2013 and presentations will be
scheduled during March 2013.
