L.E.A.D. Student Leadership Program

L.E.A.D. (Leadership, Education, And Development) is a non-credit Leadership Certificate Program of individual and group training, workshops, and service opportunities dedicated to helping St. John's University students interested in developing and enhancing their leadership skills.  All Leadership workshops, programs, and certificates are officially documented on your University Co-Curricular Transcript.

Track 1 - Emerging Program
Track 2 - Experience Program
Track 3 - Capstone Program

L.E.A.D. also offers specialized certificates that you can earn individually or on your way to achieving the Capstone Program Certificate.  These certificates are described in the “Track 2 – Experience Program” below.

Please note:
•    Students new to the L.E.A.D. Program are strongly encouraged to begin with LEAD Track 1 (Emerging Program) Certificate before completing a Specialized Certificate Program in Track 2.  

•    Students who begin with a specialty certificate in Track 2 (Experience Program) have the option of completing any other Leadership Certificate Program in order to register for Track 3 – Capstone Program.

•    Students must complete 2 Leadership Certificate Programs in order to register for L.E.A.D. Track 3 (Capstone Leader) Certificate Program.

L.E.A.D. Program Certificate requirements:

L.E.A.D. Track 1:
Emerging Program 
 Emerging into a student leader through discover of self, networking with others, and giving back to the community. 
Complete 5 workshops, Leadership Retreat, and 5 hours of direct community service.
 
L.E.A.D. Track 2 :
Experience Program
      Experience leadership in a unique way through a Specialized Leadership Certificate Program.
Each Certificate Program has different requirements.
Specialized Certificates include:
•    Empower Leadership Certificate – shape your own certificate
•    Professional Development Leadership Certificate
•    Women In Leadership Program - Track 1 Certificate


L.E.A.D. Track 3:
Capstone Program 
 Capstone leaders put what they’ve learned into action by serving as leadership mentors and student facilitators.
Complete 2 workshops, Capstone Presentation, community service plunge, co-facilitator, and mentor.
