Briefing – May 7 |
Once again, the Office of the Provost and IT would like to
invite deans and faculty to attend the Fourth Annual IBM
Briefing on Wednesday, May 7. The all-day event is scheduled from 9
a.m. - 5 p.m. at the IBM Industry Solutions Lab at the Thomas J.
Watson Research Center in Hawthorne, NY.
As an ongoing effort to identify technologies that will affect
higher education, the facility conducts research covering hardware
and software. Demonstrations will be made by individuals
knowledgeable about technology topics of interest to you.
Please join me at this exciting, stimulating, and thought
provoking event. Some of this year’s topics will include:
- Global Technology Outlook
- 2nd Life Overview and Demo
- Web 2.0
- Technology Tour
- Open Source Software for Teaching
