Seventh Annual University Service
Day
Celebrate the spirit of St. Vincent de Paul by joining the
St. John’s Community in serving our brothers and sisters in need at
our Seventh Annual University Service Day. Join us as
we work together to keep the vision of Vincent alive and experience
the fulfillment of giving of oneself to another. All
are called; all are welcome!
What Is University Service
Day?
It is a University-wide service day, where members of the entire
St. John’s University community work side-by-side, reaching out in
compassion to those in need. Students, faculty, administrators,
staff, and alumni from all five campuses join together in the
spirit of St. Vincent de Paul, our founder, to serve the poor of
our community. Our University community will serve throughout
the metropolitan area and the world, in soup kitchens, at nursing
homes, and in schools, painting, visiting, cleaning, planting,
playing with children, and feeding the hungry. Working
together in generosity and love as a Vincentian Family, we will
discover exactly what a difference a day makes.
