St. John's seeks to promote sustainability in all aspects,
including dining services.
In partnership with Chartwells, the university only
purchases the following:
- Locally farmed produce.
- Sustainable fish species.
- Certified humane/cage free eggs.
- Antibiotic free chicken.
- rBGH/rBST (growth hormone) free milk.
- Compostable cutlery, and napkins.
- Fair trade, organic, shade grown, rainforest alliance
