Understand Italy's Importance in Our Culture
Louis Leonini
Professor Louis Leonini will discuss the rich heritage of the
Italian culture and the many contributions the Italian society has
influenced the western civilization.
Professor Leonini has a long association with Italian and
Italian-American history and culture, and has specialized in
Italian studies. He has a B.A. and M.A. in Late Modern European
History. He has been a teacher, staff developer and administrator
for the New York City Department of Education for 32 years. He has
taught courses at St. John’s University and the Federation of
Italian American Organizations in Brooklyn, and is presently
teaching Italian at St. Joseph Hill Academy High School on Staten
Island. He is also a regular lecturer and member of the Speaker’s
Bureau at the Garibaldi-Meucci Museum.
