Taren Sterry

Taren Sterry is a New York City actor, writer and comedienne.  A 2008 Manhattan Monologue Slam Winner, she wrote and performed in her first solo show 180 Days in 2006. The one-woman play was so well received that it was extended three times and is currently running at Stage Left Studio.

Ms. Sterry established a reputation for writing and starring in improvisational theatre in 2008 with her successful production of Totes Hilare. Currently, she performs her own material monthly at Stage Left Studio, as well as weekly (Wednesday evenings) as part of Tomahawk, at the People’s Improv Theatre.

Written and performed by Ms. Sterry, 180 Days portrays her surprisingly funny and intensely powerful experience as a hospice volunteer. By trying to help patients find meaning at the end of their lives, Ms. Sterry discovers her own inner strength as her life gains new meaning and purpose. The director is Cheryl King.
