As part of African Heritage Month 2004 - "50 Years Desegregated: How Far Have We Come?", Student Life presents
Linguistic Enlightenment: The Power of Poetry
Sponsored by the ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., this event will showcase the works of African-American authors in emphasizing how the written word can impact one's consciousness. Hoping to prove that the pen is, indeed, mightier than the sword, talented students will recite excerpts of various works and discuss their relevance to the past and present.
