St. John’s University’s
men's basketball team recently traveled 3,000 miles and faced
one of its most formidable opponents of the season — hunger in the
San Francisco Bay area. The Red Storm made the most of its trip and

One of the largest facilities of its kind nationally, the SF Food
Bank serves all local food distribution agencies, such as soup
kitchens, churches and Boys and Girls Clubs in San Francisco and
Marin County, CA.
The SF Food Bank distributed 49.9 million pounds of food in 2011
