“Pay-Per-View” of eJournal Articles: A New Model for Electronic Resources

As the scholarly literature has moved online, students and researchers have become increasingly concerned with accessing individual articles rather than entire journals. Recently the Library has explored using pay-per-view (PPV) of individual articles to supplement (and sometimes replace) individual journal subscriptions. Join us for a discussion of how PPV (a token system) can be used to provide access to a wider range of electronic resources.  We’ll also touch on some “behind-the-scenes” issues that need to be addressed to make it work.

Lunch will be served.
