Barry Brenton
Associate Director
Center for Global Development
The M.A. in Global Development and Social Justice is primarily an
online degree program. A majority of the students are from
developing countries. The number of unique distance learning
challenges they face is outweighed by the opportunities and diverse
perspective they contribute to an enriched global online
experience. Dr. Brenton will discuss his experience as a
faculty member teaching in the program over the past 5
years.
Dr. Brenton is Associate Director of the Center for Global
Development, St. John's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences,
Faculty Coordinator for Academic Service-Learning and
Community-Based Research, a Senior Research Fellow at the
Vincentian Center for Church and Society and Associate Professor of
Anthropology.
