Job Description
The Programmer is responsible for the maintenance and modifications of programs currently in production to keep them responsive to user needs and to assure efficient operation in the production environment. The incumbent is responsible to and receives general supervision from the Project Manager/ Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and design program logic to eliminate problems and to ensure efficient operation in the production environment.
  • Test modified programs to ensure user data accuracy and modifications have no adverse impact on systems operation.
  • Provide documentation for Operations and System Development to reflect system and job flow.
  • Provide administrative reports to ensure up-to-date and accurate information.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Knowledge of systems and programming concepts.
  • Ability to analyze problems and initiate program changes, communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • May work on special projects from time to time.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field OR equivalent of four years experience in Information Technology required.
  • One to two years experience in on-line and batch programming is preferred.
  • Specialized knowledge and experience with client/server applications development tools.
  • Knowledge of requirements analysis and software design.
  • Knowledge of current client server standard development applications software.

Salary
Salary commensurate with your qualifications, experience, and contingent upon the departmental budget.
