Job Description
The Writer will assist in the development of content and strategic
direction of the University Web site. This candidate will manage
the writing needs for all Web-related initiatives and support the
Web Producer in tactical and long-term growth goals. This Writer
will serve as a liaison between faculty, administration and
staff.
Responsibilities
- Suggesting copy for banner advertisements in-line with
departmental needs.
- Creating, writing, editing and improving communications aimed
at internal and external audiences.
- Reporting on academic programs, special events/activities and
online communications campaigns.
- Assisting Producer in the day-to-day execution of sitelet
buildouts through navigation/information architecture and landing
page features.
- Conferring with chairs/department heads to access new
information to support enrollment management and student
needs.
Qualifications
- Five to ten (10) years experience required.
- Must be detail-oriented, a self-starter, a good communicator,
organized and able to manage multiple projects.
- Must be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite and
familiar with Web-based development tools and techniques.
- Applicants must have proven experience identifying content gaps
and providing direction for Web sites, as well as experience
working with clients.
Salary
Salary commensurate with your qualifications, experience, and
contingent upon the departmental budget.
