Recruitment

In its responsibility to support and serve the staffing needs of hiring managers University-wide, the Recruitment team performs the following activities:

  • Partners with managers to identify staffing needs
  • Develops staffing strategies that respond to the University's short and long term institutional goals
  • Combines internal and external job sourcing, such as job posting, advertising, and electronic media, to reach a broad population of qualified candidates
  • Coordinates applicant screening and interviewing activities with managers
  • Administers pre-employment tests and background checks
  • Guides and assists managers to make the best possible hiring decisions
  • Manages the new hire process, including orientation workshops and employment processing
  • Serves the needs that University departments have for student workers by posting student job openings, coordinating the interviewing and hiring process, and providing ongoing support for employment actions.
