Work Study Positions Available in Paris & Rome
The Office of Global Studies offers limited work opportunities for students who will receive College Work-Study (CWS) funds for the semester in which they study abroad.

These positions offer a great way to earn money and brush up your resume with international work experience!

The Details

  • Up to 10 positions will be available to students who attend an STJ semester program abroad (Note: exchange program students are ineligible).
  • DTW students can work during their 10 weeks in Paris and Rome. Students on the Paris and Rome semester programs can work for the entire term.
  • Each position will provide up to 10 hours of work per week.

Interested students must…

  • Be accepted into one of the eligible STJ semester programs abroad.
  • Possess excellent customer service, writing, computer, and communication skills.
  • Have at least $1500 in CWS funds available to them for the term in which they’re
  • studying abroad.
    • If you don’t have your 2012-13 financial aid package by the May 17 deadline, you can anticipate that you’ll have CWS if:
      • You worked under CWS in 2009-10.
      • You have filed the 2010-11 FAFSA by February 1, 2012.

¨       Be accepted into the Discover the World, Rome semester, or Paris semester program.

 

The details:

*Job Title: Resident Assistant - Paris, France*

Eligible Students will:

¨       Be accepted into the Paris semester program.
 

The details:

¨       The Resident Assistant (R.A.) is a live-in student staff member responsible for managing student needs at STJ’s Paris Campus. The R.A. reports directly to the Residence Director and is involved in all facets of student life on campus.

¨       The R.A. will balance the simultaneous arrival and departure of students every five weeks, the needs of students during their stay, and the needs of students remaining in housing for an extended period of time. 

¨       The R.A. will be expected to remain in the building during duty and office hours as assigned.

¨       As compensation, the R.A. will receive a program fee reimbursement of up to $6,000, which covers meals on duty days and on-campus housing. Please note that single rooms are not guaranteed.
 

Qualifications:

¨       The candidate must be a Paris Semester student with E.U. citizenship or an appropriate student visa.

¨       The candidate must be organized, responsible, mature, flexible, and comfortable working in a foreign environment.

¨       Experience with residence life is preferred.
