Nature and Purpose of
Agency
Coalition of Concerned Legal Professionals (CCLP) is an independent
all-volunteer association of attorneys, paralegals, legal
administrators, secretaries, court reporters, law students and
other concerned community members who have united to commit time
and skills and resources to promote access to justice for the
growing number of Americans who otherwise cannot afford legal
recourse and hence are denied due process. CCLP accepts no
government funding and builds entirely through volunteer
participation and support. Our volunteers work together to meet
some of the most pressing needs for legal recourse through an
ongoing program of education, information and lay advocacy.
Volunteers learn through on-the-job training to aggressively seek
any available resources –with no strings attached – to fill a
request for help. CCLP needs volunteers for advocacy, photography,
writing, driving, office work, desk-top publishing for our
magazine, the VERDICT, phoning and learning organizing skills to
fight for economic justice.

Description
Verdict is the official publication of National Coalition of
Concerned Legal Professionals. As a quarterly publication, it
provides articles and insight into the volatile concerns of the
day. Verdict takes positions and provides analysis; it tells those
in and around the legal profession how they can stand for the
Constitution; how they can truly practice the ethics of their
profession. Verdict is a forum promoting involvement by legal
professionals or others seeking legal and organizational solutions
to problems facing our low income communities. Publication of
Verdict offers excellent opportunities for volunteers who have
computer skills and/or skills or interest in writing, graphic arts
and photography; or interest in learning those skills and
organizing professionals to produce an independent publication.
