Nature and Purpose of Agency
OUR MISSION... “To assist a hurting humanity, to enter into an

Tasks Available for Students
Food Pantry/Soup Kitchen
Two volunteers are needed to work in the food pantry on Sunday
mornings from 9am – 11am. The pantry serves approximately 25
families every Sunday. Food is served in the school
gymnasium, called the Second Chance Ministry.
Time
Requirements
Special Project: Event starts at 9am and will be over at
approximately 2pm. Ideally, students are needed for the
entire duration.
Student Awareness/Special
Instructions
Food Pantry; students enter the building by walking up the sidewalk
with the awning over it, then turn left to go through the double
metal doors. The kitchen/gym is down a flight of stairs. Yolanda
and Ericka Herrera will be there to orient them.

RIGHT onto GRAND CENTRAL PKWY W. GRAND CENTRAL PKWY W is just
past 82ND AVE. Merge onto GRAND CENTRAL PKWY W via the ramp
on the LEFT toward TRIBORO BR.. Take the J ROBINSON PKWY WEST exit,
EXIT 13W, on the LEFT toward BROOKLYN. Merge onto JACKIE ROBINSON
PKWY W. Take the FOREST PARK DR exit, EXIT 4, toward MYRTLE
AVE/WOODHAVEN BLVD. Take the ramp toward MYRTLE AVE/WOODHAVEN BLVD.
Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto FOREST PKWY/PARK DR. Turn RIGHT onto MYRTLE
AVE. 8824 MYRTLE AVE.. Your destination is just past 88TH
PL. If you reach 88TH LN you've gone a little too far.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
Start out going North on Utopia Pky towards Union Tpke.
Take the Q31 Bus from Utopia Pky and Union Tpke station heading to
Jamaica. Get off at Archer Av and Sutphin Blvd.
Entrance near intersection of Sutphin Blvd and Archer Ave.
Take the J train from Sutphin Blvd - Archer Av/JFK station heading
to Broad St. Get off at Woodhaven Blvd. Exit near
intersection of Woodhaven Blvd and Jamaica Ave. Start out
going East on Jamaica Ave towards Woodhaven Blvd. Take
the Q53 Bus from Woodhaven Blvd/Jamaica Av station heading to
Woodside. Get off at Woodhaven Blvd/Myrtle Ave. 2 min
walk. Start out going West on Myrtle Ave towards Woodhaven
Blvd. Arrive at 88-24 MYRTLE AVE.
