Keep in Touch
An empty mailbox is always a disappointment – especially to a
new college student. So keep in touch by writing often and
regularly. Frequent letters and e-mails show your student that the
family connection remains strong. Consider buying a supply of
postcards for each of you, so you can jot down a quick message of
encouragement to mail. Remember, although this is the
“e-generation,” receiving “snail mail” is always a treat.
