A crowd of 60 attendees, 25 of which were students, gathered to hear Admissions counselor Margarita Gonazelez share her perspective on St. John’s. A current student from Southern California then spoke about his experience adjusting to the University as he was 3,000 miles from home.

Alumni speaker Juan Capdet '02CPS, '04MBA engaged the audience with praise of St. John’s, relating the regular assistance provided to students by professors and the willingness of the entire St. John’s community to help those in need, citing the University’s actions after 9/11 to help students—and the broader community—cope with the tragedy. Capdet also told the group that these factors were key in his decision to attend the University despite receiving a full scholarship from another institution.

The night concluded with a raffle in which two students and their families received giveaways. Several alumni also remained after the event’s formal conclusion to speak with students and families, further demonstrating the strength and support of our alumni.
