Vanessa Delaney '12 has been reappointed the prestigious
Coca-Cola Refreshments (CCR) Scholar for Excellence in Labor and
Employment Law. She was the inaugural scholar in 2010.
The scholarship is awarded annually to a deserving first-year or
second-year St. John's law student. In addition to the monetary
award, the CCR Scholar is offered summer employment in the CCR
labor relations department. Ms. Delaney, who holds a Master’s
degree in Labor Relations from Rutgers, won the $20,000 scholarship
this year for her superb academic performance, exemplary
leadership, impressive employment history, and deep involvement in
her community.

to recognize the hard work and civic commitment demonstrated by Ms.
Delaney, and have her join our team again this summer" said Steven
Johnson, CCR’s Group Director of Labor Relations. Michael Van Aken,
CCR’s Vice President of Human Resources, added, "This scholarship
reflects our commitment to meet important educational needs in the
communities we serve." Van Aken and Johnson currently serve on the
advisory board of the Law School's
Center for Labor and Employment Law.

Longshoremen’s Union, she is the ideal CCR Scholar. St. John's Law
