I would like to welcome adjunct faculty for the Spring 2012
semester at St. John’s University. The Center for Teaching and
Learning is sponsoring a Colloquium on Tuesday, January
24 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. in Bent
Hall room 277A where one of your adjunct colleagues will
discuss approaches to student engagement. In addition there
will be a presentation by an Education Manager from TheNew York times. Refreshments will be served.
I hope you will be able to join us for this event. It
is an opportunity for new and returning adjunct faculty to meet
colleagues, discuss the rewards and challenges of teaching, and be
introduced to the programs of the Center for Teaching and
