Professionalism in the Legal Workplace: An Informal Discussion with Professor Nelson About Issues Facing Women, People with Disabilities, and the LGBT Community

Janai S. Nelson, Assistant Professor of Law and the Assistant Director of the Ronald H. Brown Center for Civil Rights and Economic Development.

Professor Nelson teaches Election Law and Political Participation, Voting Rights Seminar, and Professional Responsibility at St. John’s University School of Law. She received a B.A. from New York University in 1993 and a J.D. from UCLA School of Law in 1996. After law school, she has clerked for Honorable Theodore McMillian and Honorable David H. Coar, and was also a Fulbright Scholar at the Legal Resources Center in Accra, Ghana.
