2009-2010 Dining Services
St. John's University Campus Dining Services offers students the
convenience of various locations and healthy dining choices on our
Queens, Staten Island and Manhattan Campuses. In response to
student feedback, we are excited to announce new and extended hours
for the Queens Campus Montgoris Dining Hall, along with the
addition of two new dining venues.
Queens Campus
New for Fall 2009 - St. Vincent’s
Café
Located in the rear of St. Vincent Hall this new Café offers a
diverse grill menu including specialty burgers and sandwiches, hot
soups, salads and a variety of entrée’s and appetizers designed to
appeal to lunch and late night munchies crowds. The café also
has a stone fireplace inside and out on the patio where diners can
sit and enjoy their fare under the sun or moon. Hours will be
Mon – Thurs from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and every night from 9:00
p.m. – 3:00 a.m.
New for Fall 2009 - D’Angelo Center
Food Emporium
Located in the newest building on campus the D’Angelo Center which
now serves as a University Center and Academic location. Here
you will find all new concepts to St. John’s including a Yan Can
Cook Asian cuisine station, PiaDori sub & sandwich station, All
American grill with burgers, hot sandwiches, fries and more, an
Italian Bistro offering a wide variety of fresh made pastas and
Italian entrée’s and desserts and the Chop’d Salad station where
you can get a chopped salad made from all fresh ingredients of your
choice. All this topped off with the Outtakes grab & go
station where you will find pre-made sandwiches, salads, fruit
cups, desserts and healthy snacks to name a few along with a full
range of bottled Coke products.

New for Fall 2009 – Starbuck’s
Café
Located on the 2nd floor of the all new D’Angelo Center this full
service Starbuck’s café will offer all the great Starbuck’s
specialty coffees, cappuccino, latte’s and fresh baked goods along
with salads and sandwiches from breakfast through late night.
Just like the Starbuck’s in your neighborhood this full service
venue will soon be a hit on campus. Regular operating hours
are Mon – Thurs 7 a.m. – 11 p.m., Fri: 7 am – 5 pm, Sat 8 a.m. – 5
p.m. and Sun 11 – 4 p.m.
Law School Café
Located in St. John's School of Law, offering everything you’re
looking for – and then some – with Starbuck’s coffee, the All
American Grill, classic daily hot entrees, carving station, pizza
and stromboli, and an extensive salad bar, plus grab & go
snacks, salads and sandwiches, and the Boar’s Head Law & Order
Deli. Regular operating hours are Mon – Thurs 7:30 a.m. –
8:30 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Marillac Food Court
Old familiar favorites like Burger King, Taco Bell and Quiznos
Subs, plus made-to-order Boar’s head deli sandwiches, Italian pasta
specialties, New York-style pizza, sushi and daily hot entrée
specials plus piping hot soups & oatmeal as well as salads and
sandwiches to take out. You’ll also find a full range of
flavored and regular Seattle’s Best coffees, specialty teas, frozen
yogurt and fresh baked goods daily. Regular operating hours
are Mon - Thurs 7 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Fri 7 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Montgoris Dining Hall
Traditional, "All You Care To Eat" dining hall. This facility
offers great classics including Italian dishes, homemade American
entrees, grilled sandwiches, a New York-style Thumann’s deli
station, pasta & omelet stations, extensive salad bar, desserts
and more. Regular operating hours are Mon - Thurs 7 a.m. –
10:00 p.m., Fri – Sun 7 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. Note the added meal
period to Mon – Thurs now with an 8:30 – 10:00 p.m. option.
Fri – Sun dinner has been extended through 8:30 p.m.
Pura Vida Café at the Library
The Pura Vida Library Café in St. Augustine Hall (Library) offers
Pura Vida Fair Trade gourmet & specialty coffees, fresh made
baked goods, along with pre-made salads, snacks and
sandwiches. Regular operating hours are Mon – Thurs 7:00 a.m.
– 7:00 p.m., Fri 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. Closed weekends & school
holidays.
The Hungry Johnnie – Convenience
Store
A full-service convenience store offering a wide variety of snacks,
convenience foods, Coke beverages, juices, frozen entrée’s and
snacks, milk and personal items like soaps, detergents, softener
and household items. The Hungry Johnnie, located in Montgoris
Hall is open daily from12 p.m. - 3 a.m.
The Taffner Field House
Located in the Taffner Field House – this location offers
bagels grab & go sandwiches, salads and snacks along with a
variety of bottled Coke, water and sports drinks. Open during
Taffner Field House operating hours.
Staten Island Campus
Main Cafeteria
Located in the Campus Center offers a full array of grab & go
salads, sandwiches and desserts, a Grill, rotisserie chicken and
meats, fresh made to order wraps, Boar’s Head deli and convenience
size packaged items. Breakfast, snacks and full lunch combos,
pizza and more. Regular operating hours are Mon – Thurs 7:30
a.m. – 8 p.m., Fri 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Sat 10:30 a.m. – 2:30
p.m. and Sun 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Spellman Café
Located in Spellman Hall – offers specialty coffees, fresh baked
goods along with grab & go snacks, salads and sandwiches for
those on the run. Just introduced is the new soft serve ice
cream. Regular operating hours are Mon – Thurs 7:30 a.m. - 7
p.m. and Fri 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Manhattan Campus
Main Cafeteria
Located on the main lobby floor offers a Grill, extensive salad
bar, grab & go snacks and sandwiches, Starbuck’s Coffee, Boar’s
Head deli sandwiches and hot entrée’s –serves breakfast through
dinner – open seven days a week throughout the academic year.
Regular operating hours are Mon – Thurs 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m., Fri
7:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. and Sat & Sun 10:30 a.m. – 7 p.m.
