Accident and Sickness
St. John's University makes available accident and sickness
insurance to all students through University Health Plans.
University health insurance coverage is mandatory for
students in University Housing and International students on an F1
or J1 visa. Yearly coverage will be effective from August
15, 2013 through August 14, 2014.

*TLC insurance rates are per seven week session only.
The University will automatically provide and charge for health
insurance for those residence students who have not waived the
University provided insurance. The charge for insurance will be
added to the semester invoice which is due and payable with the
tuition and fee charges. New Spring residence students are required
to submit their insurance information online at www.universityhealthplans.com to
waive the insurance coverage by September 6, 2013. A $100 penalty
will be charged if a waiver is received between September 7, 2013
and October 12, 2013. There will be NO WAIVERS ACCEPTED after this
Accident and Sickness Insurance is also available to all full-time
and part-time commuter students. This insurance can be purchased by
enrolling online at www.universityhealthplans.com.
The last day to enroll for Fall 2013 is October 7, 2013.
All F1 and J1 students are required to participate in the St.
John’s University’s accident and sickness insurance plan. This
insurance is mandatory for the student’s entire enrollment at the

University Health Plans offers Voluntary Vision and Dental
